AdaptNI is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) with a clear social purpose: to support people who are Deaf, have hearing loss, and/or experience tinnitus across Northern Ireland to access and thrive in employment, training, and education.

We specialise in employment support and skills development, offering tailored, person-centred services designed to break down barriers and empower individuals to reach their full potential.

Whether you're starting out, changing direction, or looking for in-work support, AdaptNI is with you every step of the way. Our team provides expert guidance, one-to-one support, training opportunities, and practical solutions shaped by lived experience and a deep understanding of the challenges you may face.

Laura Murphy Sloan and Alex Leslie set up Adapt NI on the 1st July, 2022.

 

Their vision is For the Deaf, Hearing Loss and Tinnitus Communities in Northern Ireland to have full and equal access to all employment and training opportunities throughout their career journey

 Alex and Laura have nearly 40 years' experience combined in working withi the Deaf, Hearing Loss and Tinnitus Communities.

If you are Deaf, have hearing loss, or tinnitus, Access to Work (NI) can help cover the cost of assistive devices, communication support, and other practical workplace adjustments to help you get into or stay in work across Northern Ireland.
