AdaptNI is thrilled to celebrate the success of our recent 6-week self-employment project at Jordanstown Deaf and Blind School, funded by the Ulster Society for Promoting the Education of the Deaf and the Blind. This programme provided Deaf BSL users with essential self-employment skills and business knowledge, inspiring pathways toward independence and entrepreneurship.
In a separate achievement, participants completed accredited Customer Service training in October, with every attendee earning the GCSE-equivalent qualification—a testament to the dedication and potential within the Deaf community when training is accessible and supportive.
Looking forward, we’re excited to announce our upcoming pre-employment and accredited training sessions planned for November and December, which will continue to prioritise accessible, community-focused training.
When? 25th November and 2nd December 2024
